Luna Guitars were created by Yvonne de Villiers, an accomplished stained-glass artist. Yvonne is the daughter of Hilda Williers, a female electric bass player. Williers was a bassist and especially in the 60’s, female bassists were rare. For years, Yvonne admired her mother but always noticed how she struggled each time her petite body strapped on a heavy electric bass.That is when Villiers created Luna Guitars. She reasoned that there had to have been many other musicians with similar struggles to her mother’s. So Luna Guitars were born. A line of comfortable instruments designed for those of all ages and builds who love music.
To fully comprehend why Luna Guitars are viewed as “art” to many, you must first understand that Yvonne Villiers, the lead designer of Luna Guitars, is an artist. A career spanning over two decades in creating stained glass (which Villiers refers to as “sculpting light”) paved the way to breath life into the delicacies and uniqueness that make Luna Guitars to breath taking.
